Grow Your Flow: Foundations I  w/ Barbara

Join us in a two-part Discover the Foundations of Yoga workshop, where we will focus on alignment, form, and technique to help you build a strong and sustainable yoga practice. Barbara and Kea will guide you through a series of asanas, with a particular emphasis on proper alignment and form. You’ll learn how to move through each pose with precision and ease, avoiding injury and maximizing the benefits of each posture.

The first workshop is focused on breaking down the postures in a ‘Vinyasa’ – comprising of the Downward Dog, Forward Fold, Plank, Chaturanga and Upward Dog. You will understand the fundamental anatomy of the upper body, learning the know-hows of our hands, arms and shoulders as weight bearers when it comes to these intrinsic postures. Having this foundation will set the base for further arm balances and inversions as we progressively advance in our asana practice.

Grow Your Flow: Foundations II w/ Kea

Barbara and Kea will guide you through a series of asanas, with a particular emphasis on proper alignment and form. You’ll learn how to move through each pose with precision and ease, avoiding injury and maximizing the benefits of each posture.

The second part of the foundations workshop highlights growing your practice by breaking down the anatomy of the lower body, working our way up from feet, legs and hips. Learn how to transition seamlessly between standing postures such as Warriors 1 – 3, Side Angle and Balancing postures with proper engagement. We will also dissect the overused ‘square your hips’ cue through understanding of neutral vs open hips and learn to stabilise our lower body as the base to enter Backbends safely pain-free.

Discover the Power of Inversions  w/ Edward

Are you ready to take your yoga practice to the next level? Inversions are one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of yoga. They challenge your body, focus your mind, and help you build strength, flexibility, and confidence.

In this workshop, we will explore the power of inversions, with a particular focus on headstand.

We will start by working through various strengthening drills to engage the core and stabilise the shoulders, which serve to build a solid foundation for all inversions – headstand, forearm stand and handstand.

As we progress through the workshop, you’ll build confidence going into and coming out of headstand safely. You’ll discover how to use your arms and legs to balance and stabilize your inversion, creating a sense of lightness  – and you may even find some hangtime off the wall! We will also explore different arm and leg variations, introducing fun shapes to your headstand practice.

Whether you’re new to inversions or looking to deepen your practice, join us for this transformative workshop to discover the power of inversions. You’ll also discover how inversions can help you overcome fear and self-doubt, teaching you to trust your body and its’ abilities.

All levels are welcome, modifications will be offered to ensure that everyone can participate safely and comfortably.

Mastering Arm Balances: Unlocking EPK 1 and 2 w/ Kit

Are you ready to master your arm balance practice? Kit will guide you through a series of drills designed to help you build core and arm strength required as a base for all arm balances.

You’ll learn the proper alignment and techniques to enter  EPK 1 and 2 successfully, in addition to learning how to stretch intelligently. By utilizing better muscle recruitment to achieve a greater range of motion, this will aid you in successfully achieving arm balances and inversions which are often a combination of both strength and stretch – an element often missed by many. We’ll also explore building strength in the hip flexors – the secret to successfully achieving Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1 and 2.

Explore modifications and variations of the poses, helping you to find the right variation for your body and level of experience.

Through this workshop, you’ll cultivate greater strength, balance, and control, both on and off the mat. You’ll discover how to face challenges with confidence and ease, and how to use your practice to build resilience and inner strength.
