To maintain the highest quality of experience, our training is conducted by our education team in-person. Applicants must undergo complete the Foundations of Anatomy online course (approx. 10 hours) and pass an pre-requisite virtual assessment to ensure readiness and fit for the program.

Your training consists of 3 key elements:

  • knowledge acquisition (your in-person course),
  • skill development (25 hours of classes and 25 hours observations) and
  • capability building (25 hours practice teaching plus assessment)

The skill development and capability building portions of this course are to be completed in your own time.

Module 1: Foundations of Anatomy
SELF-LED ONLINE COURSE

A strong foundation in anatomy is essential for understanding movement and teaching Pilates effectively. This online module provides an in-depth exploration of the human body’s structure, mechanics, and its relationship with Pilates.

  • Anatomical Fundamentals | Learn key terminology, bones, joints, and major muscle groups, including their functions and contraction types.
  • Movement Analysis | Describe joint movements, identify muscle engagement, and understand muscle contractions.

Am I suitable for this training course?

This course is designed for:

do i need to be an advanced practitioner to join?

No, advanced skills are not required. A passion for Pilates, a desire to learn, and commitment are all you need.

What is the prerequisite examination?

You will be required to complete an online examination once you’ve completed the Foundations of Anatomy online course.

The passing mark is 70%, with one retake permitted if needed. This must be completed in your own time and in any case, prior to commencement of your in person course.

How do the prerequisite workshops work?

Upon enrolment in either the mat or reformer pilates teacher training, you will be able to have to enrol in the Foundations of Anatomy online course which MUST be completed prior to your in person course.

You must also enrol in a Foundations of Pilates Workshop to be completed prior to commencing your mat or reformer pilates teacher training course.

COURSE CONTENT AND STRUCTURE

How is the course structured?

The course consists of three components:

    • Knowledge Acquisition – In-person training.
    • Skill Development – 25 hours of classes and 25 hours of observations (self-managed).
    • Capability Building – 25 hours of practice teaching and final assessment.

What are the requirements of this course?

To complete the course and receive a letter of completion, you must complete:

  • Foundations of Anatomy online workshop
  • ⁠Foundations of Pilates workshop
  • All in-person course hours

To become a fully certified instructor, you must complete all the above in addition to:

  • 25 hours of class attendance
  • 25 hours of class observation
  • 25 hours of practice teaching
  • Final written and practical examination

These elements should be logged in your logbook and submitted upon your final assessment.

What does the final assessment include?

The assessment consists of:

    • A theory and practical exam.
    • Submission of a completed logbook detailing class attendance, observations, and practice teaching hours.

ATTENDANCE AND DEFERRALS

What if I miss a class?

Attendance is mandatory. Missed sessions can be made up with mentoring hours at an additional cost. Contact us in advance if you foresee any absences.

What happens if I can no longer attend the scheduled training and wish to defer?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and you may need to reconsider your enrolment. Our refund and deferral policy for the teacher training program is as follows:

  • Withdrawal More Than 90 Days Before the Start Date: You are eligible for a 50% refund of the training.
  • Withdrawal Between 90 and 60 Days Before the Start Date: You are eligible for a 25% refund of the training.
  • Withdrawal Less Than 60 Days Before the Start Date: Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided within this period.

Please note: Payment plans are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend the current session, we offer the option to defer your enrolment to a future training session. A deferral fee applies to secure your spot in the next available session.

CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION

Is the course certified?

Yes, it is accredited by the National Academy of Sports Medicine® (NASM®), a globally recognised fitness certification provider.

What does NASM accreditation mean?

NASM certification ensures credibility and expertise in fitness training, including anatomy, biomechanics, and programme development. It is highly regarded, especially in the USA.

What type of certification will I receive?

Upon course completion, you will receive a letter of completion, accredited by NASM.

Should you wish to become a fully certified instructor, you must pass your final examination.

Full certification examination requirements are charged separately to the course.

Is my certification guaranteed?

Certification is merit-based. Payment does not guarantee certification, as students must meet all course requirements.

LOGISTICS, MATERIALS AND SUPPORT

What does the total cost include?

The training course cost covers Foundations of Anatomy and Foundations of Pilates workshops, your in person mat or reformer pilates training course hours and all course manuals.

If you wish to become a fully certified instructor, there is an additional cost of the final examination at SGD 250.

Do I need to bring anything?

Props and materials are provided. You will need a notebook, pen, water bottle, and sweat towel.

How can I book rooms or additional resources?

Practice teaching rooms: Book directly via our website. 

Mentoring sessions: You can book one-on-one mentoring with our instructors via the website once you’re enrolled.

Final examinations: Similar to mentoring bookings, you can schedule exams directly on the website.

ADDITIONAL COMMITMENTS

How much time should I allocate for homework?

Homework involves light reading or assignments and should take no more than one hour per day.

Must I become a teacher after completing the course?

No, the course equips you with the knowledge and confidence to teach, but becoming a teacher is optional.
